We raise Boer, Spanish and Nubian goats. All of our goats are on pasture throughout the warmer months. During the coldest winter months, our goats stay in the barn and feast on hay. We do not supplement with grain.
Why not feed them grain? Goats and other ruminants (like cattle) have been eating grass for thousands of years. Fattening them up on corn is a recent phenomenon aimed at cheap, rapid growth, but does not produce a superior product. Meats from grass-fed animals are 3-5 times higher in Omega-3 and other essential fatty acids than grain-fed. We specifically breed (and cull) our animals to continually improve the herd's parasite resistance and ability to thrive on grass and browse alone.

Our fresh Singing Goat Feta is made from pasteurized goat's milk and handcrafted in small batches. We pack each quarter round in brine, which not only helps keep the cheese for up to six months, but will also intensify its flavor. For those that find feta cheeses lovely, but a little too salty, we recommend that customers place a serving in cold, fresh water for ten minutes before eating to cut the salt flavor in half. Keep refrigerated.

Chevon (goat meat) is the most-consumed meat in the world. Many cultures consider it to be a delicacy. The flavor is comparable to lamb, only milder.
Goat meat is sold by the half or whole and butchered to your specifications. We usually have goat available for the major holidays. Please e-mail us at info@anotherjonesfamilyfarm.com for more information.
